How to Test Your AI Search
Learn how to test and preview your AI search functionality before deploying it to your users.
Testing Steps
Step 1: Access the Test Search Interface
Navigate to your Search Configuration page to access the test search feature.
- Go to your AI Search project dashboard
- Select your project from the projects list
- Click on the 'Search Configuration' section
- Look for the 'Test Your Search' panel on the right side of the screen
Step 2: Ensure Your Configuration is Complete
Verify that your search configuration is properly set up before testing.
- Check that your configuration status shows as 'Complete' or 'Ready'
- Ensure your data sources have been indexed successfully
- Verify that result attributes are properly configured
- Confirm that the system has finished processing your content
Step 3: Choose Your Search Mode
Select between keyword search and AI search modes.
- Use the toggle switch in the search input field
- Keyword Search: Traditional exact match searching
- AI Search: Semantic search using artificial intelligence
- The current mode is displayed below the search input
Step 4: Enter Your Test Query
Type your search query in the test input field.
- Enter your search term in the 'Test Query' field
- Try different types of queries to test various scenarios
- Press Enter or click the 'Search' button to execute
- Wait for the search results to appear
Step 5: Review Search Results
Analyze the returned results for quality and relevance.
- Check if results are relevant to your search query
- Review the displayed attributes and their formatting
- Verify that result deduplication is working correctly
- Ensure price and numeric fields are properly formatted
